Emanuel King started Hill View Mini Barns in 1999 shortly after getting married and moving to Maine. What began as a one-person operation in a modest garage has grown into a substantial enterprise of roughly 65 employees, seven Maine sales locations, and a fleet of trucks that delivers buildings across the Northeast.
Emanuel still owns the business — and is still on the shop floor most days. He splits his time between manufacturing, sales, and time with customers throughout the region.
Hill View runs as a few distinct teams working together: a shop crew handling manufacturing in Etna, office staff managing day-to-day business, truck drivers and mechanics coordinating logistics, escort drivers managing transport, and job-site crews finishing each install. Once a year, the whole company gets together for a picnic.

How we work
Build it once. Build it well. Stand behind it.
Built in our shop, not in your yard
Constructing in a controlled shop in Etna means every cut, every fastener, and every panel is checked before it leaves. Weather isn't part of the build.
In-house delivery, every time
Our own drivers, escorts, and rigs. No third-party logistics, no surprises at delivery. If something needs to be made right, the people who built it are the ones who show up.
Warranty in writing
A trained crew inspects every product for quality, and a written warranty backs it up. If you ever need us, you'll know who to call.
The team
65 people. One company picnic.
Annual team gathering, 2025.
